Jeff is involved in teaching young men the ins and outs of the auto industry. Derelict cars are donated, and brought back to life by the boys in scout troop, with Jeff over seeing all the repairs. After the cars are made road worthy they are sold to fund the scouting program or donated to a needy family. Over 20 cars have been resurrected so far.

Serving as a leader in the scouting program for the last 22 years, Jeff has served as scout master for the last 6. He teaches the Automotive Merit Badge along with Cycling and Climbing. He has been a certified instructor for the BSA rock climbing, rappelling, and rope course for the past 17 years. Jeff has donated a week’s vacation for the last 17 years to spend at summer camp. Jeff earned his Wood Badge in 2002.

Jeff’s regular attendance has also given many opportunities to serve. In the last 21 years Jeff has served as Bishop, Elders Quorum President, Deacons Quorum Advisor, Priest Quorum Adviser, member of the High Council and Sunday school Teacher. He has earned “The on My Honor Award” from his church.

Jeff helps teach at St. Charles West High School during their small engine repair section, on a volunteer basis.

Jeff donates blood every 2 months to the American Red Cross.

Jeff served on the committee responsible for the 20 year plan for the city of St. Charles.

Jeff helps channel 2 news with “ask the mechanic” by taking calls and answering questions.
